An original recipe since 1862, Bacardi Carta Blanca Rum was the first aged white rum thanks to the active charcoal filtration method established by Don Facundo Bacardi.It is this filtration, as well as its ageing for between 18 months to 3 years in charred white American oak barrels, that provides Bacardi Carta Blanca Rum with its distinctive smoothness.This smoothness makes it an incredibly versatile and mixable rum that has been used throughout the centuries to invent many of the original classic cocktails from the Mojito (Cuba's oldest cocktail) to the Daiquiri and the Bacardi Rum Cuba Libre.
