Caledonian has been brewing fine beers in Edinburgh since 1869, and is the only survivor of the 40 plus breweries that operated in Edinburgh during the 1800s.
Rescued from potential closure in 1987 by a team of dedicated investors, who were ably supported by a highly skilled workforce, the company set about establishing the renaissance of Scottish Cask Conditioned Beer. The Caledonian Brewing Co. Ltd., remains an independently owned company.
Caledonian 80/- is a russet brown coloured beer, creamy and fruity with a late hoppy finish. Caledonian 80/- strongly delivers the Caledonian Brewery tradition, quality ingredients brewed in unique direct fired open coppers.
