For well over a century, The Dalmore has been made by hand, in the time-honoured way, by a small band of local still men. The process is meticulous, and includes double distillations in copper pot-stills and patient aging in white oak and sherry wood casks.
Aged in 70% American white oak casks and 30% Oloroso Sherry casks from Gonzalez Byass.
Tasting Notes. Colour : Rich, deep, golden mahogany. Nose : Intense and firm. Well structured with silky smooth malty tones, a hint of Olorosso sherry lingers in the background. It demonstrates great finesse, extolling fragrances of orange and marmalade along with spiced notes. Taste : Good attack on the mouth, more elegance than muscle. The aged Olorosso is rich and fleshy, and its body harmonizes nicely with the malt.Almost a concentrated citric mouth-feel captivates and tantalizes the middle part of your tongue. An aftertaste of great abundance rewards the palate. A Highland malt of great distinction.
