The essential grape varieties used by Noilly Prat Vermouth are exclusively Blancs de Blancs white wines, light and fruity. The wines are first matured separately in large oak casks inside the original storehouses first used in 1850. For eight months, contact with the oak strengthens the body of the wine.
An open air ageing process unique in the world!
The wines are then transferred to different oak barrels, lined up in the open-air enclosure where, for one year, exposed to the heat of the sun, the sea breezes and to the winter chill, they undergo a profound transformation into Noilly Prat Vermouth.
